Volunteers needed to fix a leaking roof for Mateo in Los Angeles
Mateo, a home-care aide, needs a few skilled and unskilled helpers for a 2-weekend roof repair in Los Angeles.

I'm a home-care aide living in Los Angeles. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 3 places, and the living room is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $3,700, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the shingles and underlay. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for three or four volunteers who can help over a weekend.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is to be comfortable with heights or willing to help from the ground. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Hang in there. Hope you get there. Wish I lived closer to Santos so I could bring a meal. Blessings
I hope things turn around soon. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Thinking of Los Angeles.
Good luck. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. It's not much but it's yours. God bless.

Sending love. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Thinking of Los Angeles
