Volunteers needed to fix a leaking roof for Mariana in La Plata
Mariana, a disabled veteran, needs a few skilled and unskilled helpers for a 2-weekend roof repair in La Plata.

I'm a disabled veteran living in La Plata. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 2 places, and the kids' bedroom is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $1,550, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the tiles and battens. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for 4-6 people who can help over three weekday mornings.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is to be comfortable with heights or willing to help from the ground. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
Thanks for being kind about this.

Sending good thoughts, Mariana. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Greetings from Los Angeles.
Shared it with a few friends. I'm in construction myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you
