Volunteers needed to fix a leaking roof for Jose in San Antonio
Jose, a home-care aide, needs a few skilled and unskilled helpers for a 1-weekend roof repair in San Antonio.

I'm a home-care aide living in San Antonio. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 3 places, and the living room is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $4,900, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the roofing sheets and nails. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for three or four volunteers who can help over three weekday mornings.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is to be comfortable with heights or willing to help from the ground. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Best of luck, Jose. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Blessings.
Hang in there, Jose. Shared it with a few friends. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. God bless
