Volunteers needed to fix a leaking roof for Giorgio in Rome
Giorgio, a night-shift nurse, needs a few skilled and unskilled helpers for a 1-weekend roof repair in Rome.

I'm a night-shift nurse living in Rome. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 2 places, and the kitchen is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $2,300, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the roofing sheets and nails. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for a small crew who can help over a weekend.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is to be comfortable with heights or willing to help from the ground. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Sending love, Giorgio. Hope this works out for you. Put this on a community board in St. Petersburg this morning. God bless.
Shared this with my family. My neighbor in Spanish Town donated after I showed her your page. Thinking of Rome.
So sorry you're going through this, Giorgio. Looking forward to the next update.
You're not alone. I hope things turn around soon. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money
Sending good thoughts, Giorgio. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Please keep us posted.
