Could you spare one long weekend to help repair a leaking roof in Dundee?

I'm a school janitor living in Dundee. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 4 places, and the kitchen is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $3,150, which isn't something I can pay. The good news: a local hardware store has donated the corrugated iron sheets and timber. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for 4-6 people who can help over one long weekend. Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is work boots and a hat. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks. The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too. Thank you so much.

Helped when no one else could

I was going through a tough time and this person's support was invaluable. They didn't judge, just helped. That kind of genuine compassion is rare these days.

  • Looking forward to the next update. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Greetings from Gatineau.

    • Keep going. This could happen to any of us. I hope February is when things finally get easier. Take care.

      • Best of luck. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Take care
