Vivaan's a craniotomy can't wait - please help us cover the bill
Vivaan needs a craniotomy at Bengaluru Community Hospital and the family is $200 short of the hospital's estimate.

In August I was diagnosed with a hernia that has become strangulated. My surgeon at Bengaluru Community Hospital recommended a craniotomy, and I have been placed on the schedule for December. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $270, and after what the public health scheme will pay, I'm still $200 short.
Doctors at Bengaluru Community Hospital told me a hernia that has become strangulated will get worse without a craniotomy. I work as a seamstress, and I have saved what I can, but the estimate of $270 is far beyond what I've.
Until the surgery I can't work full days, and my hours as a seamstress have already been cut. Every week of waiting means more pain and a bigger risk.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 7 weeks. I'll not be able to look after the children alone during that time, so this has become a financial emergency as well as a medical one.
The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did.
Where the $200 goes:
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $75
• Physiotherapy sessions: $75
• Travel and lodging for the family: $50
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

sending strength. Shared it with a few friends. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Love from Bristol.
it takes guts to ask. Well done. After 18 years in logistics I know how hard it's to ask for anything. All the best.
Sending good thoughts, Vivaan. Wishing Vivaan a smooth procedure and a full recovery.
