I live with a spinal cord injury. My occupational therapist at the Leicester Mobility Clinic has assessed me and recommended a braille note-taker. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $3,650. My current equipment is 10 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 8 weeks. With the right equipment I could speak with the people around her. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing. Where the $3,650 goes: • braille note-taker: $3,150 • Fitting and training sessions: $145 • Delivery and set-up: $95 • First-year servicing plan: $260 With deep gratitude, Violet
