Vincent's cataract surgery can't wait - please help us cover the bill
Vincent needs cataract surgery at Rennes General Hospital and the family is $3,700 short of the hospital's estimate.

In May I was diagnosed with a cleft palate needing repair. My surgeon at Rennes General Hospital recommended cataract surgery, and I have been placed on the schedule for August. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $4,950, and after what the public health scheme will pay, I'm still $3,700 short.
Doctors at Rennes General Hospital told me a cleft palate needing repair will get worse without cataract surgery. I work as a retail assistant, and I have saved what I can, but the estimate of $4,950 is far beyond what I've.
Until the surgery I can't work full days, and my hours as a retail assistant have already been cut. Every week of waiting means more pain and a bigger risk.
Recovery is expected to take about 10 weeks. I'll not be able to walk without help during that time, so this has become a financial emergency as well as a medical one.
