Vida lives with muscular dystrophy. The occupational therapist at Obuasi General Hospital has assessed her and recommended a communication tablet with eye tracking. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $750. Her current equipment is 10 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 5 weeks. With the right equipment Vida could get to the shops and visit friends. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered. Where the $750 goes: • First-year servicing plan: $45 • communication tablet with eye tracking: $660 • Fitting and training sessions: $45 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.
