Victor lives with a rare neuromuscular condition. The occupational therapist at Dar es Salaam General Hospital has assessed him and recommended a pair of hearing aids. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $450. His current equipment is 9 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 12 weeks. With the right equipment Victor could join the school sports day. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered. Where the $450 goes: • First-year servicing plan: $35 • pair of hearing aids: $410 • Delivery and set-up: $5 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
