Veteran in need: Vani's next mission is stability
Vani served ten years in the marines; $3,600 would cover a trained service dog and handler course.

Vikas served ten years in the marines and was discharged in 2023 with a back injury. He has been waiting nine months for support, and meanwhile is sleeping at a brother's place.
The plan: a trained service dog and handler course. The quote comes to $3,600.
Vikas is receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and is committed to recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'll post invoices, with personal details hidden.
Where the $3,600 goes:
• Training provider fees: $2,100
• Housing deposit and first month: $950
• Transport to appointments: $290
• Essential household items: $260
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Keep going, Vani. Shared this with my family. Greetings from Shinjuku.
Thinking of you and your family, Vani. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Love from Melbourne
hope this works out for you. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money.
Looking forward to the next update. Greetings from Swansea.
You're not alone. This could happen to any of us. All the best.
