Veteran in need: Paisley's next mission is stability
After ten years of service, Paisley is raising funds for a deposit on a one-bedroom apartment.

I served ten years in the marines and was discharged in 2024 with chronic tinnitus. I have been waiting eleven months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a deposit on a one-bedroom apartment. The quote I have comes to $2,900.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
I'll post invoices, with personal details hidden.
Where the $2,900 goes:
• Training provider fees: $2,100
• Essential household items: $390
• Transport to appointments: $410
I hope life is good to you.

Hope it all works out, Paisley. Your post was clear and honest. We're a small family in San Diego but we're thinking of you. Love from San Diego.
Good luck, Paisley. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Thinking of Geelong
Sending good thoughts. Gave what I could, wish it was more. I have a 15 year old who wants to send good wishes too.
