Veteran in need: Ngozi's next mission is stability
Ngozi served twelve years in the army; $400 would cover a trained service dog and handler course.
🇳🇬 Nigeria1,206 views
Garba served twelve years in the army and was discharged in 2022 with a back injury. He has been waiting nine months for support, and meanwhile is sleeping at a brother's place.
The plan: a trained service dog and handler course. The quote comes to $400.
Garba is receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and is committed to recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
Money will be paid to the training provider and the landlord directly.
Where the $400 goes:
• Transport to appointments: $30
• Training provider fees: $280
• Essential household items: $90
Thanks for being kind about this.
- Ngozi

Shared this with my family. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Love from San Francisco
Best of luck. Your post was clear and honest. Thinking of Nnewi.
Best of luck, Ngozi. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I hope December is when things finally get easier.
