I served twelve years in the navy and was discharged in 2024 with a back injury. I have been waiting fourteen months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place. I have a plan: a trained service dog and handler course. The quote I have comes to $1,100. I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces. I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing. Money will be paid to the training provider and the landlord directly. Where the $1,100 goes: • Training provider fees: $520 • Housing deposit and first month: $340 • Transport to appointments: $115 • Essential household items: $125 I hope life is good to you. - Nabirye

Couldn't have asked for better support. They listened carefully, understood my situation deeply, and provided thoughtful advice that actually worked. Thank you so much.

Hope this works out for you. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Greetings from Gazipur.

gave what I could, wish it was more. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. God bless!
