Veteran in need: Murugan's next mission is stability
An infantry veteran in Nashik needs help with a trained service dog and handler course after leaving service with a service-related knee injury.

Deepa served twelve years in the infantry and was discharged in 2022 with a service-related knee injury. She has been waiting fourteen months for support, and meanwhile is sleeping at a brother's place.
The plan: a trained service dog and handler course. The quote comes to $350.
Deepa is receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and is committed to recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
Money will be paid to the training provider and the landlord directly.
Where the $350 goes:
• Training provider fees: $180
• Transport to appointments: $70
• Essential household items: $100
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
