I served ten years in the infantry and was discharged in 2025 with a service-related knee injury. I have been waiting nine months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a trained service dog and handler course. The quote I have comes to $2,850.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
Money will be paid to the training provider and the landlord directly.
Where the $2,850 goes:
• Essential household items: $490
• Training provider fees: $1,300
• Housing deposit and first month: $1,060
Thanks for reading all this.

thanks for sharing this. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Greetings from Leeds.
Keep going. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Love from Warri.
Hope it all works out. Shared this with my family. I have a 7 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Greetings from Springfield.

Looking forward to the next update. My neighbor in Quezon City donated after I showed her your page.
