Veteran in need: Lilian's next mission is stability
Lilian served six years in the navy; $550 would cover a deposit on a one-bedroom apartment.

I served six years in the navy and was discharged in 2025 with hearing damage and PTSD. I have been waiting fourteen months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a deposit on a one-bedroom apartment. The quote I have comes to $550.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
Money will be paid to the training provider and the landlord directly.
Where the $550 goes:
• Training provider fees: $280
• Housing deposit and first month: $200
• Transport to appointments: $70
Thank you for reading my story.

Wishing you peace. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Greetings from Khulna.
Thanks for sharing this. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Blessings.
Wishing you the best, Lilian. It takes guts to ask. Well done. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money.
Thinking of you, Lilian. Shared it with a few friends
So sorry you're going through this. Gave what I could, wish it was more. We're a small family in Ciudad de México but we're thinking of you
