Veteran in need: Lidia's next mission is stability
Lidia served twelve years in the marines; $650 would cover a vocational welding course and tools.

I served twelve years in the marines and was discharged in 2023 with a back injury. I have been waiting eleven months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a vocational welding course and tools. The quote I have comes to $650.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
Money will be paid to the training provider and the landlord directly.
Where the $650 goes:
• Essential household items: $115
• Housing deposit and first month: $430
• Transport to appointments: $105
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.
