I served eight years in the medical corps and was discharged in 2024 with a back injury. I have been waiting fourteen months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a deposit on a one-bedroom apartment. The quote I have comes to $600.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
Money will be paid to the training provider and the landlord directly.
Where the $600 goes:
• Training provider fees: $230
• Housing deposit and first month: $260
• Transport to appointments: $55
• Essential household items: $55
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
Updates from Karim
Quick update: $174 raised so far (29%). we've booked the dates and paid the deposit. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.
Update from Patna: the first invoice got paid this week. We're at 4% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.

Take care, Karim. It takes guts to ask. Well done
