Veteran in need: Jakob's next mission is stability
Jakob served six years in the army; $4,250 would cover a vocational welding course and tools.

I served six years in the army and was discharged in 2023 with post-traumatic stress. I have been waiting seven months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a vocational welding course and tools. The quote I have comes to $4,250.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
Money will be paid to the training provider and the landlord directly.
Where the $4,250 goes:
• Training provider fees: $2,100
• Housing deposit and first month: $1,150
• Transport to appointments: $460
• Essential household items: $540
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

sending love. I hope things turn around soon. Greetings from Jinja.
rooting for you. It takes guts to ask. Well done. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. God bless

Sending good thoughts, Jakob. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too.
