Veteran in need: Hellen's next mission is stability
After twelve years of service, Hellen is raising funds for a first month of rent and transport to job interviews.

I served twelve years in the navy and was discharged in 2024 with chronic tinnitus. I have been waiting eleven months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a first month of rent and transport to job interviews. The quote I have comes to $1,000.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
Money will be paid to the training provider and the landlord directly.
Where the $1,000 goes:
• Training provider fees: $480
• Housing deposit and first month: $360
• Transport to appointments: $80
• Essential household items: $80
Glad we found this place.

Stay strong, Hellen. Shared it with a few friends. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it

Hope things get better soon, Hellen. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Wish I lived closer to Cox's Bazar so I could bring a meal. Blessings
