Veteran in need: Hauwa's next mission is stability
After six years of service, Hauwa is raising funds for a first month of rent and transport to job interviews.

I served six years in the marines and was discharged in 2024 with chronic tinnitus. I have been waiting seven months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a first month of rent and transport to job interviews. The quote I have comes to $800.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
I'll post invoices, with personal details hidden.
Where the $800 goes:
• Training provider fees: $530
• Housing deposit and first month: $120
• Transport to appointments: $55
• Essential household items: $95
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.
