Veteran in need: Gayathri's next mission is stability
Gayathri served twelve years in the navy; $600 would cover a trained service dog and handler course.

I served twelve years in the navy and was discharged in 2025 with hearing damage and PTSD. I have been waiting fourteen months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a trained service dog and handler course. The quote I have comes to $600.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
I'll post invoices, with personal details hidden.
Where the $600 goes:
• Training provider fees: $260
• Housing deposit and first month: $180
• Transport to appointments: $85
• Essential household items: $75
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Sending good thoughts, Gayathri. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. After 14 years in teaching I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
