Veteran in need: Faruk's next mission is stability
After eight years of service, Faruk is raising funds for a trained service dog and handler course.

I served eight years in the army and was discharged in 2023 with a traumatic brain injury. I have been waiting fourteen months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a trained service dog and handler course. The quote I have comes to $500.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
Money will be paid to the training provider and the landlord directly.
Where the $500 goes:
• Transport to appointments: $75
• Housing deposit and first month: $340
• Essential household items: $85
Thank you for reading my story.

is there anything that isn't money that would help Faruk?
Thank you. If you're in Lucknow I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. Fair thing to want to know.
Praying for you, Faruk. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Take care.
Rooting for you, Faruk. Hope this works out for you. It's not much but it's yours. Blessings.
You're not alone, Faruk. Hope this works out for you. Love from Tampa.
Keep going, Faruk. It takes guts to ask. Well done. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money.
