Veteran in need: Douglas's next mission is stability
After fourteen years of service, Douglas is raising funds for a deposit on a one-bedroom apartment.
🇺🇸 Shreveport, Louisiana, United States3,261 views
Delilah served fourteen years in the infantry and was discharged in 2025 with a service-related knee injury. She has been waiting nine months for support, and meanwhile is sleeping at a brother's place.
The plan: a deposit on a one-bedroom apartment. The quote comes to $4,700.
Delilah is receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and is committed to recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
Money will be paid to the training provider and the landlord directly.
Where the $4,700 goes:
• Essential household items: $210
• Training provider fees: $3,300
• Housing deposit and first month: $1,190
Thank you so much.
