Veteran in need: Dayo's next mission is stability
After twelve years of service, Dayo is raising funds for a first month of rent and transport to job interviews.

I served twelve years in the marines and was discharged in 2022 with a traumatic brain injury. I have been waiting eleven months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a first month of rent and transport to job interviews. The quote I have comes to $500.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
Money will be paid to the training provider and the landlord directly.
Where the $500 goes:
• Transport to appointments: $55
• Training provider fees: $390
• Essential household items: $55
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Wishing you peace. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Thinking of Ikeja.
sending strength. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Thinking of Ikeja!
Keep going, Dayo. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Sent it to 37 people at work
Hope things get better soon, Dayo. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Don't give up. Love from Tijuana
