I served fourteen years in the engineering corps and was discharged in 2025 with a back injury. I have been waiting fourteen months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a first month of rent and transport to job interviews. The quote I have comes to $1,350.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
Money will be paid to the training provider and the landlord directly.
Where the $1,350 goes:
• Essential household items: $240
• Housing deposit and first month: $920
• Transport to appointments: $190
Glad we found this place.

Rooting for you, Damian. Hope this works out for you. It's not much but it's yours. Love from Jalandhar.
Keep going, Damian. Looking forward to the next update. Wish I lived closer to Pune so I could bring a meal.
