Veteran in need: Chioma's next mission is stability
Chioma served six years in the air force; $750 would cover a first month of rent and transport to job interviews.

I served six years in the air force and was discharged in 2023 with a service-related knee injury. I have been waiting eleven months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a first month of rent and transport to job interviews. The quote I have comes to $750.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
I'll post invoices, with personal details hidden.
Where the $750 goes:
• Training provider fees: $440
• Essential household items: $45
• Housing deposit and first month: $265
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

Thinking of you, Chioma. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I hope September is when things finally get easier. Greetings from Brisbane.
