Veteran in need: Charles's next mission is stability
An army veteran in Coventry needs help with a first month of rent and transport to job interviews after leaving service with post-traumatic stress.

I served fourteen years in the army and was discharged in 2024 with post-traumatic stress. I have been waiting seven months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a first month of rent and transport to job interviews. The quote I have comes to $2,600.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
Money will be paid to the training provider and the landlord directly.
Where the $2,600 goes:
• Training provider fees: $1,100
• Housing deposit and first month: $830
• Transport to appointments: $450
• Essential household items: $220
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

You're not alone, Charles. It takes guts to ask. Well done. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money!
Thanks for sharing this, Charles. Your post was clear and honest. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust.
