Veteran in need: Carol's next mission is stability
Carol served four years in the army; $5,550 would cover a deposit on a one-bedroom apartment.

I served four years in the army and was discharged in 2024 with a back injury. I have been waiting fourteen months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a deposit on a one-bedroom apartment. The quote I have comes to $5,550.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
I'll post invoices, with personal details hidden.
Where the $5,550 goes:
• Housing deposit and first month: $2,350
• Training provider fees: $3,000
• Transport to appointments: $200
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Praying for you, Carol. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too.

Good luck, Carol. Hope this works out for you. Sent it to 26 people at work. Blessings
Hope things get better soon, Carol. It takes guts to ask. Well done.
