Veteran in need: Benoît's next mission is stability
Benoît served ten years in the engineering corps; $4,500 would cover a trained service dog and handler course.

I served ten years in the engineering corps and was discharged in 2023 with chronic tinnitus. I have been waiting nine months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a trained service dog and handler course. The quote I have comes to $4,500.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
I'll post invoices, with personal details hidden.
Where the $4,500 goes:
• Transport to appointments: $400
• Housing deposit and first month: $1,300
• Training provider fees: $2,800
Thank you so much.

I hope things turn around soon. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Love from Bangkok.
Sending strength, Benoît. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Wish I lived closer to Angeles so I could bring a meal. All the best.
Hang in there. Gave what I could, wish it was more. I'm in engineering myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. God bless.
best of luck, Benoît. It takes guts to ask. Well done
