After twelve years of service, Anitha is raising funds for a first month of rent and transport to job interviews.

I served twelve years in the marines and was discharged in 2024 with a service-related knee injury. I have been waiting nine months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a first month of rent and transport to job interviews. The quote I have comes to $450.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
Money will be paid to the training provider and the landlord directly.
Where the $450 goes:
• Training provider fees: $165
• Housing deposit and first month: $145
• Transport to appointments: $30
• Essential household items: $110
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Stay strong, Anitha. This could happen to any of us. Please keep us posted. Love from Los Angeles.
Take care, Anitha. I hope things turn around soon. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Thinking of Udaipur.
Wishing you the best, Anitha. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I'll check back for the next update. God bless.
Keep going. Shared it with a few friends. Don't give up. God bless.
