Veteran in need: Anand's next mission is stability
After fourteen years of service, Anand is raising funds for a first month of rent and transport to job interviews.

I served fourteen years in the army and was discharged in 2024 with chronic tinnitus. I have been waiting nine months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a first month of rent and transport to job interviews. The quote I have comes to $700.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
Money will be paid to the training provider and the landlord directly.
Where the $700 goes:
• Training provider fees: $190
• Housing deposit and first month: $320
• Transport to appointments: $65
• Essential household items: $125
I hope life is good to you.

keep going, Anand. Hope this works out for you. We're a small family in Bogotá but we're thinking of you. All the best.
Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Love from Birmingham.
Sending love, Anand. Your post was clear and honest. Thinking of Siliguri.
Sending good thoughts. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Greetings from Abbottabad.
Keep going, Anand. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Blessings.
