Veteran in need: Adrian's next mission is stability
Adrian served fourteen years in the marines; $5,800 would cover a trained service dog and handler course.

I served fourteen years in the marines and was discharged in 2023 with post-traumatic stress. I have been waiting eleven months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a trained service dog and handler course. The quote I have comes to $5,800.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
Money will be paid to the training provider and the landlord directly.
Where the $5,800 goes:
• Training provider fees: $3,250
• Housing deposit and first month: $1,700
• Transport to appointments: $260
• Essential household items: $590
I hope life is good to you.

So sorry you're going through this, Adrian. Shared it with a few friends. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected.
Stay strong, Adrian. Your post was clear and honest. Greetings from Depok.
Take care, Adrian. I hope things turn around soon.
