Vanessa's final semester of an electrical engineering diploma in Duque de Caxias

Vanessa is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying an electrical engineering diploma at Duque de Caxias Community College, and is two terms away from graduating. She has worked as a warehouse packer to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $1,650. The registrar has said Vanessa can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Vanessa has a 3.8 average, and a professor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Vanessa would lose her place and scholarship eligibility. Vanessa isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the Duque de Caxias Community College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt. Where the $1,650 goes: • Textbooks and materials: $65 • Final term tuition: $660 • Outstanding tuition balance: $925 Thank you for reading my story. - Thiago
