Vanessa's a craniotomy can't wait - please help us cover the bill
After a herniated spinal disc, Vanessa was cleared for a craniotomy, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Vanessa was diagnosed with a herniated spinal disc in June. The surgeon at Berlin Orthopedic Institute recommended a craniotomy, and She is scheduled for August. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $9,000, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $5,450 short.
my wife has been in and out of Berlin Orthopedic Institute since June. The doctors say a herniated spinal disc will get worse without a craniotomy. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $9,000 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Vanessa struggles with daily life and can't work a full shift. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 4 weeks. During that time Vanessa won't be able to work a full shift, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $5,450 goes:
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $310
• Hospital stay (3 nights): $2,250
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $2,350
• Post-operative medication: $350
• Travel and lodging for the family: $190
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. Thinking of Berlin.
rooting for you, Manfred. Shared it with a few friends. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. God bless.
Rooting for you, Manfred. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. Blessings.
