Valentina was diagnosed with a cleft palate needing repair in May. The surgeon at Mar del Plata General Hospital recommended valve repair surgery, and She is scheduled for August. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $2,450, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $1,700 short.
my daughter has been in and out of Mar del Plata General Hospital since May. The doctors say a cleft palate needing repair will get worse without valve repair surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $2,450 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Valentina struggles with daily life and can't work a full shift. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 4 weeks. During that time Valentina won't be able to work a full shift, so the costs keep growing.
