Valentina wants to stay at home - help fund eight months of care
Valentina, 96, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $5,250 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for me, who's 96. After worsening Parkinson's disease Valentina can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Valentina desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 50 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer.
Valentina worked all of her life as a bus driver, and raised 5 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for eight months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.
Where the $5,250 goes:
• Part-time carer (eight months): $4,200
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $175
• Medication and prescriptions: $875
