Uzma's spinal decompression surgery can't wait - please help us cover the bill
After osteoarthritis in the right knee, Uzma was cleared for spinal decompression surgery, but the bill is more than we can manage.

In November I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in the right knee. My surgeon at Faisalabad University Hospital recommended spinal decompression surgery, and I have been placed on the schedule for February. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $1,000, and after what our health plan will pay, I'm still $750 short.
Doctors at Faisalabad University Hospital told me osteoarthritis in the right knee will get worse without spinal decompression surgery. I work as a market vendor, and I have saved what I can, but the estimate of $1,000 is far beyond what I've.
Until the surgery I can't work full days, and my hours as a market vendor have already been cut. Every week of waiting means more pain and a bigger risk.
The recovery period is expected to take about 8 weeks. I'll not be able to work a full shift during that time, so this has become a financial emergency as well as a medical one.
The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did.
Where the $750 goes:
• Travel and lodging for the family: $40
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $250
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $60
• Hospital stay (3 nights): $400
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

good luck. This could happen to any of us
Sending good thoughts, Uzma. Gave what I could, wish it was more. I'm in logistics myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. All the best.
praying for you, Uzma. This could happen to any of us. I have a 6 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Love from London.
Rooting for you, Uzma. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My sister had a similar thing happen so this one hit home.
