Uzma's gallbladder removal can't wait - please help us cover the bill
After osteoarthritis in the right knee, Uzma was cleared for gallbladder removal, but the bill is more than we can manage.

In July I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in the right knee. My surgeon at Quetta Regional Medical Center recommended gallbladder removal, and I have been placed on the schedule for November. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $1,300, and after what our health plan will pay, I'm still $650 short.
Doctors at Quetta Regional Medical Center told me osteoarthritis in the right knee will get worse without gallbladder removal. I work as a warehouse packer, and I have saved what I can, but the estimate of $1,300 is far beyond what I've.
Until the surgery I can't work full days, and my hours as a warehouse packer have already been cut. Every week of waiting means more pain and a bigger risk.
Recovery is expected to take about 6 weeks. I'll not be able to drive during that time, so this has become a financial emergency as well as a medical one.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $650 goes:
• Travel and lodging for the family: $45
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $270
• Hospital stay (2 nights): $230
• Post-operative medication: $45
• Physiotherapy sessions: $60
Every share and every dollar helps.
