Usman's final semester of an agriculture degree in Lagos
A first-generation student, Usman needs help covering tuition for the final stretch of an agriculture degree.
🇳🇬 Lagos, Lagos, Nigeria551 views
Usman is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying an agriculture degree at Lagos University, and is one term away from graduating. He has worked as a shop assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $900.
The registrar has said Usman can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Usman has a 3.9 average, and an academic advisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Usman would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Usman isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Lagos University bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $900 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $380
• Final term tuition: $470
• Exam and lab fees: $15
• Textbooks and materials: $35
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.
