Urvashi was diagnosed with a torn ligament that needs reconstruction in August. The surgeon at Saket General Hospital recommended septoplasty, and She is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,700, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $850 short.
my mother has been in and out of Saket General Hospital since August. The doctors say a torn ligament that needs reconstruction will get worse without septoplasty. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,700 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Urvashi struggles with daily life and can't drive. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 5 weeks. During that time Urvashi won't be able to drive, so the costs keep growing.
