Unity Primary School needs a playground - Farah's neighborhood project
Volunteers in Lahore are raising $400 for a playground at Unity Primary School.
🇵🇰 Pakistan550 views
For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 23 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Unity Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $400.
It will serve about 101 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $400 goes:
• Materials: $280
• Permits and inspections: $30
• Safety equipment and signage: $35
• Tools hire and delivery: $55
Glad we found this place.
