Unity Primary School needs a covered market stall space - Julieta's neighborhood project
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a covered market stall space - we need $2,200 for materials.
🇪🇸 Madrid, Spain3,683 views
For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 24 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Unity Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $2,200.
It will serve about 591 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $2,200 goes:
• Materials: $1,850
• Permits and inspections: $135
• Safety equipment and signage: $85
• Tools hire and delivery: $130
Thanks for reading all this.

Stay strong. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. God bless.
