Unity Park needs a skate park - Logan's neighborhood project
A community-led a skate park at Unity Park that will serve 223 neighbors.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 21 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Unity Park, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $3,400.
It will serve about 223 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $3,400 goes:
• Materials: $2,250
• Permits and inspections: $250
• Safety equipment and signage: $490
• Tools hire and delivery: $410

Updates from Logan
Good news. Because of your gifts ($272 in total) the plan for materials is now scheduled. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
