Unity Park needs a sensory garden for children with autism - Kendall's neighborhood project
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a sensory garden for children with autism - we need $4,350 for materials.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a sensory garden for children with autism. This year a group of 28 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Unity Park, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $760, and the remaining cost is $4,350.
It will serve about 463 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $4,350 goes:
• Materials: $3,350
• Permits and inspections: $320
• Safety equipment and signage: $480
• Tools hire and delivery: $200
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
