For five years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 24 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Unity Park, but no funding. We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $100. It will serve about 562 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in March and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $100 goes: • Tools hire and delivery: $55 • Permits and inspections: $20 • Safety equipment and signage: $25 With deep gratitude, Irfan

Updates from Irfan

  1. We're at 104% thanks to 7 of you. I met with the suppliers and confirmed the amounts. More news soon.

  2. Wanted to say thank you properly. 79% funded and the plan for permits and inspections is now scheduled.

  3. 55% there. I made the first payment toward permits and inspections. Thank you.
