Unity Park needs a covered market stall space - Eli's neighborhood project
A community-led a covered market stall space at Unity Park that will serve 138 neighbors.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 17 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Unity Park, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $3,650.
It will serve about 138 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $3,650 goes:
• Materials: $2,600
• Permits and inspections: $125
• Safety equipment and signage: $390
• Tools hire and delivery: $535
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

Sending good thoughts. Hope you get there. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Love from San Francisco.

Looking forward to the next update. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Love from Sheffield!
