Unity Park needs a community fridge - Anil's neighborhood project

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 25 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Unity Park, but no funding. We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $450. It will serve about 334 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $450 goes: • Materials: $290 • Permits and inspections: $45 • Safety equipment and signage: $70 • Tools hire and delivery: $45 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen. - Anil
