Union Primary School needs a repair café workshop - Laura's neighborhood project

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 26 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Union Primary School, but no funding. We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $600. It will serve about 558 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in February and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $600 goes: • Materials: $290 • Permits and inspections: $70 • Safety equipment and signage: $140 • Tools hire and delivery: $100 Thanks for reading all this.
